Dee A. Dadik
Dee A. Dadik has been a quilt maker, pattern designer, teacher, quilt restorer, researcher of quilt history and collector of quilts for over 25 years. Ten years ago, after retiring from her own custom dressmaking business, she added quilt appraising, lecturing, and judging to her quilt interests and started "I Have a Quilt..." as a business venture (with business partner, Molly Butler). She has appraised quilts in the Midwest and for internationally known art quilters and has lectured for guilds, businesses, and historical societies on the history, dating, care of quilts and why you need to have quilts appraised. As an Appraiser of Quilted Textiles certified by the American Quilters Society, she appraises antique, new and art quilts for insurance replacement, market value and donation value.
To support the knowledge necessary to appraise and lecture, Dee has taken classes and studied dating, construction, regional differences, appraising, legal issues, ethics, care, preservation, social history and textile history. She regularly participates in continuing education classes, independent study and has numerous activities that keep her aware of current prices. These experiences plus an extensive reference library help her to appraise your quilts and give you information that will bring a greater appreciation and understanding of what you own.
Dee has been involved in many guilds, holding office and serving as head of many committees. Volunteering her services for charitable causes is also a part of her interests.

Molly A. Butler
Molly Butler has managed to sustain a serious interest in textiles since graduating from Seton Hill University with a B.S. in Home Economics Education. While raising three children, she represented Doncaster, Inc. and Leiter Designer Fabrics and eventually opened her own better dress fabric shop.
Sixteen years ago while working in the corporate world, the "tactile" need was satisfied by learning to quilt. An interest in appraising developed and soon the study of quilts and quilt history began. Molly has participated in classes for history, women's studies, textile dating, ethics and methods of appraising. She is an Accredited Member of The International Society of Appraisers. She is a partner with Dee Dadik in "I Have A Quilt...". They do appraisals of antique, new and art quilts, lecture and judge. They have an extensive reference library and attend many events and exhibits that keep them abreast of the current quilt world. They have been privileged to work with international quilters, museums, and private estates as well as over 1000 individual quilt owners.
Molly is the member of two local quilt guilds and has served on numerous committees. As a recipient of The American Quilt Study Group scholarship award for 2003 she is actively researching the relationship of the Women's Christian Temperance Union and quilts in the Ohio area.
